Chat is now global by default, meaning when you chat everyone on the server can hear you. Here are the various other forms of chat:

You can talk in normal chat, so that only nearby players hear, you by typing:

/l (message)

Ex: /l hello :)

You can also shout so that even more players can hear you. Shouting has double the range of normal chat. You may shout by typing:

/s (message)

Ex: /s HEY!

You may also whisper to players who are very close by typing:

/w (message)

Ex: /w Psst hey, you

You can also send a private message to another player by typing:

/msg (player name) (message)

Ex: /msg luciddream Hello there!

And you can reply to the last private message by typing:

/r (message)

Ex: /r Hey, whats up?

You can ignore another player so you no longer see their chat in global or private messages by typing:

/ignore (player name)

Ex: /ignore luciddream

And you can turn off global chat entirely by typing:

/globaldisable

And of course you can re-enable global chat by typing:

/globalenable

If you want to report a bug or someone else for exploiting, you can feel free to post on the Lost Shard forums or you can use the report command. To use the report command, type:

/report (message)

Ex: /report cheaterman10 is flying!
